STUDENTS
"Five words: once in a lifetime experience. It's absolutely mindblowing being in a city so new and old at the same time that radiates
energy 24/7. I've never studied abroad or been away from home more than a week at a time, but I'm really glad my first experience
was with the ThinkChina group. They made everything very comfortable for us: from getting adjusted, to the hotel suite, to the
planning details, to the internships themselves... Honestly, no stone was left unturned. Those five weeks have really opened my
eyes in terms of being culturally aware and harnessing a better understanding of people and societal development in a city so
vibrant and full of life."
-- Linda C., Lynbrook High School, San Jose, CA
"This was my first time going anywhere without my parents and since I was going out of the country I was notably apprehensive. But it was
such a relief when I arrived in Shanghai because the whole ThinkChina staff made me feel at home. As for my job at iTalki (my first job
ever!), it definitely enabled me to get a feel for an office work environment and get my feet wet in a career for an online business. I
especially loved Fridays and the weekends because I was able to soak in the city which was an experience in itself. All the trips we took
and the seminars were fantastic. I can't say which one is my favorite because I loved them all. Overall, this was a trip absolutely
worth taking. I did a lot of self-reflection and definitely came out a better and different person because of it!"
-- Allicia K., Lowell High School, San Francisco, CA
"Traveling and working in Shanghai with ThinkChina was an eye-opening experience for me. The opportunity to experience the culture of
China from the inside, working alongside local businesspeople, gave me a new perspective not only on Chinese business and what it
means to work in Shanghai, but also on Chinese culture. My perspective of Chinese people and culture was shaped not by tour guides and
guide books, but by the people I worked with every day. Being able to see a country from the inside out, rather than from the outside
in, is an incredibly valuable experience that ThinkChina offers its students."
-- Alec P., The Lawrenceville School, Lawrenceville, NJ
"I had a great time on the ThinkChina internship program. The company I interned at was called CBR and they focused on market research.
I worked in the business development department where I communicated with existing and new clients. Over the five weeks, I developed a
close relationship with my manager and coworkers so that we were even able to hang out outside of work hours. My five weeks there
culminated in me participating in a business meeting with a client from the UK. I have to say that overall experience was amazing and
opened my eyes to the international business environment Shanghai has to offer in addition to the many cultural and tourists sights
around the city."

PARENTS
"As a parent, we are very happy with Linda's internship experience in Shanghai with ThinkChina this summer. This was the first time Linda
had traveled alone for an extended time and we were very worried when we first dropped her off at the airport. However, as we quickly
saw that Linda was having a wonderful time, learning new skills, and meeting new friends, we truly felt that we could not have found a
better program for Linda this summer.
The team at ThinkChina is intelligent, energetic, courteous, responsible and very detailed-oriented. I truly appreciate their
professionalism on meeting our needs. Linda brought back many wonderful gifts for all of us from her experience abroad with
ThinkChina - all memories we will cherish forever!"
-- Yi C., ThinkChina Parent
"My son had a phenomenal experience with ThinkChina this summer in Shanghai; one that added significantly to his world view and
contributed to his confidence in his own ability to interact and exchange with other cultures in meaningful and professional ways.
As a mature 16 year-old, he was looking for something more than an adventure travel trip and the internship he was placed in provided
the extra challenges and growth opportunities he was looking for. As a beginning Mandarin language speaker our son learned more than
he would in a semester of study and he had fun in the small-group language learning sessions and used his language in day to day
discourse in work and around the city. The ThinkChina staff members were creative, caring and a major factor in my son enjoying the
experience from a social standpoint. He keeps in touch with ThinkChina personnel to this day and hopes to continue the relationships
for years to come."

CORPORATE PARTNERS
"I was very happy with the energy, enthusiasm and skills of our ThinkChina interns. We gave the 3 of them group projects to work on,
including a teen-focused marketing plan, developing a micro-donation program, and several research and data gathering assignments.
Although relatively inexperienced at first, they learned very quickly and truly made useful contributions to our company in the time
they were here. In addition, we used them as a mini focus group, to give us insights into teen preferences and habits.
I would like to thank ThinkChina for bringing us such great interns!"
-- Eric P., President & COO, iTalki, Shanghai
"My colleagues and I really enjoyed working with the two students from the ThinkChina program. They have done a phenomenal job for our
firm, Consumer Behavior Research. The two students worked closely with me in the business development department and I was delightfully
surprised by their maturity and hard working attitude. Their work here has lead to positive impacts to the business, including
successfully signing two deals worth half a million dollar with clients from the United Kingdom and Japan. We look forward to working
with ThinkChina and their students again in the future."
-- Ben Wang, Head of Business Development, Consumer Behavior Research
