Internships
The Internship
First things first,
acceptance into ThinkChina guarantees an internship. We work with great companies -
some are large multinationals, others are nimble and exciting start-ups looking to change the world. (

However, one thing is constant: Each position will be uniquely matched with your skills and interests.
Here's how it works: Prior to your arrival, ThinkChina coordinators are meeting with each of
our partner companies

to develop a comprehensive project designed just for our interns. What this means is that all of
our internships are carefully planned and designed to be valuable both to the company and most importantly,
our interns. We guarantee that our interns won't be going on coffee runs or acting as "photocopy specialist".
You can do that at home. Our directors and partner companies are in constant contact to ensure that your summer
is fun, educational and productive. Our primary goals for all of our interns are the same: Develop your professional
skills, explore your interests, learn about life in China, make new friends from around the world and most
importantly, have a great time!
Testing the Waters
Why intern you ask? An internship is a great way to test the waters and to learn about your interests.
It'll also help you
stand out among your peers. As we've heard over and over again, real-life work experience
is a valuable commodity these days. Now add in the fact that you did it in Shanghai.
As a ThinkChina intern, you will not only have an opportunity to work in a professional environment in a field of
your choice - you'll also get to do it in one of the fastest growing cities in the world, Shanghai. As you soak
in day-to-day life in China and experience the realities of the workplace, you'll draw your own conclusions about
whether or not a career is for you. Equally important, you'll get an opportunity to experience life abroad and
explore the bustling city life of Shanghai. That's what we call win-win.
Taking the Plunge
ThinkChina provides students with an awesome opportunity to intern in Shanghai while having the chance to explore
all that this fabulous Asian metropolis has to offer. Included in the 5-week programs are housing accommodations,
planned group weekend activities to explore Shanghai, a weekly seminar series, comprehensive meal plans, unlimited
subway passes, individual mobile phones and most importantly, the opportunity to discover Shanghai with a group of
highly motivated students from around the country and the world.
