Welcome Parents
Your Typical Summer?

Is your child looking to for something fun to do this summer? Are they interested in traveling abroad to China? Are they trying
to figure out what to do after school? If you answered yes to any of the above, ThinkChina may be the program for
your son or daughter!
International Internship
As a ThinkChina intern, students not only have an opportunity to work in a professional environment but they can do so in a field of their
choice. They will have a truly unique opportunity to pursue their goals in one of the fastest growing cities in the world –
Shanghai. An internship is a great way for a student to test the waters in a field where they
have an interest. As your child soaks in the day-to-day life in China and experiences the realities of the workplace, they will be
able to draw their own conclusions about whether or not a career is for them.
Student Placement
ThinkChina works closely with you and your child to find an internship that best meets their personal goals. Through the application and
a phone interview with one of our Program Directors, the student indicates their interests and ambitions. We use these as a guide to
find an internship that meets the interests of each student. ThinkChina has partnered with leading international firms and have
worked hard to ensure that each internship program is educational and rewarding for each student.
Orientation
Before the start of the program, our Program Director will be in contact with each accepted student to address any questions or
concerns. Accepted students will receive a welcome package to help them plan for their summer trip. The enclosed documents provide
everything the student will need to know about the internship: contact information of the company/organization, dress code and grooming
guidelines, and directions from the dorm to the internship site.
Corporate Partners
We screen all employers carefully to ensure that the work experience is aligned with the student’s goals and that each student
will receive proper guidance for any challenges they may face during their internship.
